Shipping & delivery

How long does it take for my order to be processed and shipped?

Creation Time: 6-8 Weeks

Standard shipping: 3-7 business days

Express shipping: 2 business days

Processing and shipping times may vary depending on the items you've ordered. We use USPS for shipping.

How can I track my package and receive updates on its delivery status?

Once your package has shipped, you can track it with the tracking number that we'll provide you.

What is the estimated delivery time for my order?

Delivery times can vary depending on the shipping method and location, but we'll provide you with an estimated delivery range at checkout.

What happens if my package is lost or damaged during shipping?

In the unlikely event that your package is lost or damaged during shipping, please contact us immediately so that we can initiate a claim or replacement.

Can I change the shipping address after I have placed the order?

If you need to change the shipping address after placing your order, please contact us as soon as possible. We'll do our best to accommodate your request, but it may depend on the stage of the shipping process and the policies of our shipping carriers.

Returns

Can I return a product if I have opened it or used it?

We understand that sometimes a product may not meet your expectations even after you've opened or used it. Depending on the product and the condition it's in, we may be able to offer a return or exchange. Please email us for more info.

Do I have to pay for shipping when returning a product?

Yes, you'll be responsible for the shipping cost when returning a product.

How long does it take to receive a refund after a return has been processed?

Once we've received and processed your return, it can take several business days for your refund to be issued. The exact timeframe may depend on your payment method and bank processing times.

Can I return a product if it causes an allergic reaction or doesn't work for my skin type?

Your satisfaction is our top priority, so we want you to feel confident in your purchase. If a product causes an allergic reaction or doesn't work for your skin type, please let us know and we'll do our best to provide a solution, which may include a return or exchange.

Can I return a product that was purchased with a promotion or discount code?

Products purchased with a promotion or discount code may be subject to additional terms and conditions. Depending on the promotion, we may not accept returns or exchanges for these products.

Our Units

Do you have units ready to ship?

While the majority of Kanishia Fairy Custom units are custom made, there are ready-to-ship units available sometimes. They are posted when available (typically on Instagram and via e-mail subscribers). Ready-to-ship units cannot be customized for sizing and styling they are “as-is”.

What kind of product should I use on my wig?

When you order your Kanishia Fairy Hair Mother unit, you will receive care info with detailed notes about products and how to care for your creation. It is best to use products of high quality, A list of hair care instructions are provided with your wig, so please read them upon arrival There are also more care and HOW videos on our Kanishia Fairy Hair Mother YouTube Channel. 

How long will my unit last?

Your wig can last for many years depending on the upkeep and usage of the wig. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

If I have no hair, can I wear these units?

Yes! The units are snug fit and will conform to your head. You do not have to have hair for the full units or frontal units- the U-part units require hair to be left out. 

How do I prep my hair for wearing the wig?

For wigs, it is best to have a flat base for the wig to lay correctly.  Braid your natural hair is very fine flat cornrows straight back. Some people wear the ‘beehive’ braid style and they find that straight backs work much better. If your hair is straight, you can wrap and then use a wig cap to keep your natural hair in place. It’s that simple. 

I excecise and swim often, will my custom unit stay put?

Yes, you can work out in SOME of your wigs! Our wig information is very specific on the versatility of the wig. We provide customers with ease of use as well as forms of usage for wigs. Clients have purchased units just so they can give their natural hair a break while on a vigorous workout schedule. If you swim in it, make sure to take care of your hair underneath.

Can I sleep in the unit?

While it is not recommended, you can sleep in your unit if you’d like. Sleep with a satin scarf or bonnet to prolong the longevity of your unit. 

What is the difference between the crochet and sewn in the Fairy Topper pieces?

Longevity is the ultimate difference. Crochet usually has a shorter life span than sewn. The pieces are identical in aesthetic but sewn is more sturdy in it’s construction while crochet is more lightweight.

Do the units come with a band?

All units that are lace come with a band. 

Do you offer wig maintenance services?

Yes we do. When in need of washing or fixing, please send back to Kanishia Fairy Hair Mother, as results and finish are guaranteed consistent and professional. There will be a $100 service fee along with the cost of shipping. Please only ship units that we've created. The address to ship to is:

BEFORE SHIPPING YOUR UNIT, PLEASE SEND US AN EMAIL WITH YOUR REQUEST FIRST. WE NEED TO MAKE SURE WE CAN ACCEPT YOUR ORDER.

Should you choose to shampoo alone, the following is recommended:

The brand SILICON shampoo, conditioner, and leave in.

If you have a twisted style, remove all twists prior to shampoo. Shampoo with luke warm water. Use DENMAN brush for detailing.
